What we keep, and what we do with it.
Written in plain language, because that is how we talk. If anything here is unclear, ask at the counter or call us.
What we collect
When you sign up online or at the counter: your name, phone number, email, home or business address, which service you chose, and how you heard about us. To open a mailbox, the Postal Service requires USPS Form 1583 and copies of two forms of identification. We keep those at the business, as the Postal Service requires, and we enter the required information into the USPS registration system for commercial mail receiving agencies. When a package arrives for you, we record the carrier, the tracking number and the day it came in and went out. On this website we see ordinary traffic information, and when they are turned on, measurement tools from Meta and Google tell us which ad or mailer brought you here.
What we use it for
Setting up and running your mailbox or package service, letting you know when a package lands, billing you, and keeping the records the Postal Service requires of us.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share your mobile number or your texting consent with anyone for their marketing. We share information only with the Postal Service as required, with carriers as needed to handle your packages, and with the companies that process payments and run our phone and texting system on our behalf.
Texting terms
Program: The Mailhouse account and package alerts. When you check the box on our sign-up form or ask at the counter, we may text you when a package arrives, about your account, and to answer your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.
How long we keep it
Account records for as long as you are a customer. After a mailbox closes, the Postal Service requires us to keep the records for six months, and we do.
Your choices
Ask us to correct or delete what we hold, within what the Postal Service requires us to keep. Stop texts at any time with STOP. Questions: (432) 245-2426, or the counter at 503 SE 2nd St, Seminole, Texas 79360.
